Toronto based rock outfit, One In The Chamber, announce the release their debut studio EP, 'I’ve Got Something To Say…' on September 22nd 2018. The record follows the release of 'Bills To Pay' – the EP’s lead single and their debut music video – on April 30th of this year. 'I’ve Got Something To Say…' has been over a year in the making with One In The Chamber balancing pre-production and recording with tirelessly performing across Ontario. Recorded at Toronto’s Phase One Studios (Rush, Alice Cooper, The Tragically Hip) and produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Murray Daigle (Platinum Blonde, Serena Ryder), One In The Chamber is making a statement with 'I've Got Something To Say...', bringing rock & roll back to its gritty and glamours roots.
With influences from all over the musical spectrum - ranging from Led Zeppelin and Guns N' Roses to The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens Of The Stone Age and Soundgarden. One In The Chamber has found a distinct and modern sound that feels reminiscent of flipping through old vinyl. In the past three years, the band has relentlessly performed throughout the city at acclaimed venues such as The Horseshoe Tavern, The Hideout, and The Opera House, while also hitting up cities outside the GTA, including Burlington, Brantford, Oshawa, Ottawa, and even an international stop at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Along with performing at an array of festivals - Sound Of Music Fest, Lockdown Festival, Blackout Fest, The Bout, and Epidemic Music Group's Guinness World Record breaking concert - the band has opened for international artists such as former Ted Nugent vocalist, Derek St. Holmes, Darby Mills, Dreamkiller, and most notably, Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts at what would tragically be his final performance.
Since the release of 'Bills To Pay' on April 30th 2018, the track has not only received thousands of streams on Spotify, YouTube, and Facebook, but has also gained media attention across North America and beyond - including at publications in South America and throughout Europe - while also earning comparisons to Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Motörhead, Mötley Crüe, and Alice In Chains. The single has also been prominently featured on American radio stations Rock Rage Radio and Boston Rocks Radio, while also being a part of the acclaimed Down The Front podcast, and most recently on KAOS 88.2 in New Zealand, Australia, and the UK. One In The Chamber continues to run completely independently, picking up speed with each step forward.
Having released 'The Boston Session: Bootleg Demos', a small collection of demos - recorded in Massachusetts with former Bang Tango guitarist, Scott LaFlamme- and a live album, 'Live From The Rockpile', in 2017, One In The Chamber is raising the bar for what fans can expect from them with 'I've Got Something To Say...' a modern take on some of Rock & Roll's greatest eras.
To celebrate, One In The Chamber will host an EP Release Party at Toronto's The Hideout on September 22nd with a tour that will take them across Ontario and Quebec to follow.
